How long do pt cruisers last?

Postby Phpguru » Tue Nov 03, 2009 2:16 am

i thinked about purchasing a 2005 pt cruiser gt its been cared for a bit but has nearly 90,000 miles on it how long should it last with no big issues? I have just heard some bad things, then tend to go up for sale at about 100,000 miles

Here',s the deal. a four year old PT should have average mileage of 40,000 to 60,000 miles. 90,000 miles means its been used a whole lot. Did it start out as a rental car? How well has it been maintained has the timing belt and water pump been changed? How is the suspension? It must be a low price for all that mileage, or they have receipts for all the maintenance that was done. Test drive it 1st and look at other PT',s. Good luck.

Your right at the point where anything could happen, If its a one owner and your have records I could say yes, but your talking about a pt cruiser so I could say no.
