My dad has a 1986 BMW 325e sedan, with about 309,000 miles on it. I'm wondering how much longer you think it'll last not a joke., and I am trying to convince him to get another BMW or something alike.

if hes taking are of it it can last another 300k miles..seen it done...sorry i',m not helping you are case any >,.<,

if its being maintained, it may be used to tow in the starship enterprise in the far remote future.

you gotta love german engineering.

properly maintained, any car can hit 250,000 but a german car vw, mercedes, audi, bmw can go twice or three times that with some tlc.

theres still some beetles and mercs going around from the second world war

If your dad maintains the car like he's supposed to, it may possibly reach 1,000,000 miles. Karle',s answer is more realistic, but I have heard of some cars reaching the million mile mark.
