How much could a 1965 Impala sedan be worth? |
|
i could like to know what you think a rough estimate could be for a 1965 Impala sedan four door. the cars body is in great form for a car this old, no big rust or damage, just small dents and surface rust that could be common for a car this old. the car has no engine. the interior is pretty tore up but may be reupholstered. this car could be a great project car. the reason I ask is because this car is in danger of being crushed and I'm thinking about buying the car, then reselling it. I could be upset with myself if I did nothing to save this car from the crusher. if I was in the position of restoring the car I could but I already have a 79' camaro and a 68' camaro that I am working on. I could just like to know how much you think I could sell the car for.
P.S. I live just outside st. louis, if that has any bearing on the cars value.

i am not planning on spending much to save this, most likely less than $200. but I think at that price I'm nearly obligated to save this classic, but I'm just wondering a ball park fiqure of how much I could sell it for. I am not trying to make this into a great investment or anything, I'm just trying to save it from being destroyed.

I sold a wrecked 65 two dr that ran on Ebay for $300 and the man parted it out for over $1000 on Ebay again, he got $100 for the frame . runs a salvage yard outside of L.A..
So I could say it is worth between $500 $1000

As you already know four doors have low resale value. I watch these markets I only deal with cars that have resale. I have four door 1938 models that I'll not build. I could not build a 1965 crusher or not. there's a chance U could run it on ebay before U purchase it so U can be able to save the car purchase never spending anything on it.

It has a low value on resale but in good condition it may bring as much as $3500obo but it'll need the right engine and tranny rear end combo.
now if this car had a 409CID big block and four speed it could not matter if its a four door it could go for $7500 $15000+
but if it had a inline six cylinder as a original motor than forget it your talking about $500 tops and you may want to just sell the body for parts out right.

Go to Kelly's blue book, or Nasdac website thare you may be able to find the value of your car, for 1965 you want to look under classic or antique cars value. Good luck. I think it could be a good investment, but I could not pay more the $1000.00 for it, I am sure you will be able to get that much out of it afterward.
