If the key will not open ANY of the locks then the key itself can be worn out. If the ridges on the key are worn they will not position the tumblers in the lock properly to let the key drum to turn.

If you still have a factory key it may have the tumbler code printed on it. If so you may be able to just go to a locksmith and they can make you a new key depending on the code. Much cheaper than replacing the locks.

Call the mazda dealer and a locksmith. I could guess that a locksmith may help you out for $100 or so. They may be able to rebuild the lock to your present key.

I could guess the dealer may change the lock for 150 300 based on the cost of the part.

Have you tried graphite to lubricate the lock?

Go to the hardware store and get you a blank of the same key but don't cut it most likely a mz16 and a can of pb blaster. Spray the lock out be sure you open the shutter as your doing this. you may be able to do this with a small screwdriver. Then run the key in and out of the lock a couple times as your doing it put a turning force to the key as your pushing the key in and out. This should free up the wafers.

You may have a wafer something messed up besides that, but its probabaly just froze up.
