How normal is wheel hop on a 350Z?

Postby Darler » Tue Nov 03, 2009 1:33 am

I have an 350Z with 20,000ks on it.

It is experiencing bad wheel hop on launch and overly violent gear changes, and also when it loses traction in first gear in the wet driving straight .

It doesn't have VDC, it happens in both wet and dry, and also with TCS on and off.

The only time it doesn't happen is when breaking traction while turning like exiting a corner.

I am perplexed because some holders assert to have it and some assert they don',t have it at all. But mine looks to be really bad, I'm not sure if I should think about it normal for the car or if something is wrong in which case I could bring it up with Nissan under warranty.

You describe a shock absorber condition. Most 350z speed up well and traction control off rear wheels will turn. Does your car have auto transmission? You may attempt different tire pressures, Bridgestone RE040 tires may be replaced with RE010R TEIN Suspension for better shocks &, suspension parts.
