How to replace broken windows lift on beetle?

Take your v dub to a dealership and have them check the vin to see if it qualifies for a window regulator recall. Not all meet the criteria but if yours doesnt they sell regulator fix kits that include upgraded glas clamps and cable guides that get bound up pretty easy. I think the P/N is 1JM 898 461 A for left and 1JM 898 462 A for the right side. They aren't easy to put in and you'll end up breaking door panel clips in the procedure so plan on to get a couple of them while you're there. I could have either the dealership or a certified vw fix shop perform the work if they bugger up the kit it's on them.

What year car are we referring to? the new beetle and the old 60's 70's one are totally different.

Go to any "Borders Book Store ", web site: boarders.com for the nearest store place to you,go to the "Automotive part ".These manuals are in color,LOTS of PHOTOS,easy to understand directions how to fix anything on you VW. I am a VW FAN for 47 years,owned & worked on them.

Take it out of its misery. A big caliber handgun is favored.

The new beetles from some model years had a lifetime warranty on window lifts. Call the dealer, they may do it free of charge. They were recalled about three years ago.
