Not sure, but I do know you're paying way to much. If you want to know where around yourself is gas the cheapest, go on gasbuddy.com, type in your zip, and you'll be surprised as to the different prices in gas stations.

people have never seen these prices before I mean they are the 1st not many years so it's costly those cheaper states I forgot where but the ones in the center of no where that have gas for $3 think its costly.
but this is so crazy that its come to a point where we think $2.95 is cheap for a gallon of gas.
i have a 22 gallon tank my back up gas is five gallons so I am filling an 18 gallon tank with premium at $3.20 a gallon and only to get 15 mpg that is $57.60 and I fill it up every one 1/2 week.. I can not pay for it im a college student and everyone out there knows we don’t have money
but still my point it
IT IS CRAZY THAT WE THINK THAT $2.95 IS CHEAP FOR A GALLON OF GAS.

They said on the news this morning it was Tucson, AZ. $2.87 a gallon. that is humorous, because I bought gas in Phoenix yesterday for $2.79.

Member of COSTCO? it is typically cheaper there than regular stations. Have a grocery store membership card where they also sell gas? In Washington State Fred Meyer aka Smith's in Utah, Safeway, and Albertsons all give you cents off if you purchase enough groceries at their stores in a month. Some have a gas credit card that lets you to save 15 cents on a gallon. Gas here is $2.89 to $3.09 for regular.
It's still cheap in comparison to Europe or Iran when they just started rationing gas. Imagine, all that oil and they can not refine it. Diesel is cheaper in some parts of the country but oddly enough, it's more in others. I think it has to do with motor fuel tax rates. Your best bet is to get an economical car sorry bout that but if you are not to get at least 30 mpg you may want to seriously think about it. Of course what you save then goes to the car company.

I'll take $3.44. I paid $3.51/gal at Costco on Sunday, and I paid $3.48/gal in Detroit yesterday. Part of the reason gas in Michigan is so costly is because our governor instated a new fuel tax so 37.5 cents per gallon are going to the state. Oh lucky us.
But nevertheless as of 5:20 AM, Tuesday July 17, 2007, New Jersey has the lowest fuel prices at $2.79/gal. Illinois came in at sixth most costly at $3.22/gal. And of course Michigan came in at most costly at $3.30/gal.
