I have a 1988 dodge 150 van 3.9 engine with tbi.it gets to much gas.?
when you crank it you must clamp the fule line shut to get it to start.then it runs to fast.i've changed the tepersure sencer and it still do it. what may be wrong with it?

1.Make sure all vacuum lines don't have cracks or leaks in them.2.Check MAP sensor wires at the plug in for backed out wire at plug.Make sure they're all making contact.3.Could be a bad intake manifold gasket.4.could be a leaky injector.5.Could be a constrained fuel retun line.The 1st two are high possibilities.Good Luck.

the choke is most likely stuck have you tryed some carb cleaner? I had a friend of mune to put a kit in my 88dodge van
the dang thang runs pretty good now. I tryed to purchase a kit and do it my self and its imposible..you will have to find someone who knows carbs

check vac hose and wires to the MAP sensor. the vac hose road map sticker under the hood will show you where its at.

don e covered most of it also check the wires around te throttle body if ground side of injector harness is shorted to ground injecter stays on full.
