I press the lock button inside the drivers door and nothing happens, so I pushed down on the lock on the door and it wouldnt go down, it jus stayed up and unlocked. does anybody have any idea how I could fix this?

Try to manually do it with your key on the outside if that works then you have some kind of jam in the back and doesn',t let the electronic mecinishim to work. If it doesn',t work then take off the door panels by removing the two screws and all connecting wires then look and see if anything is in the way or if it's properly connected you can also want to check your fuses to see if it blew. if you have any questions go to the links I provided.

If you tried to do it manually and they still didn',t lock then I dont', think the electric button is broken. it looks to me the system behind the door may be jammed or the rod the moves the lock to lock can be broken.



You can take the front panel of your door off and check. It',s not that hard to do.

pull on the door handle like your opening the door hold it in that position , then press the lock button. that should do it.

i had an 93 civic and that is how I lock the doors without using the key.
