I',m to get the sense that he's trying to rob me because I obviously don',t know what I',m talking about. I',m wondering if anybody can tell me how much this fix should cost. If you could, break it down into parts, time in hours and also tell me about how muchg mechanics charge for labor per hour. I live in bergen county new jersey, btw. I could REALLY appreciate any guidance I can get. Thanks

In nine years working in a Hyundai dealership, I haven't seen one single rear major seal being replaced not under warranty, and I could certainly get a second opinion. It may be as simple as the oil pan leaking. I',ve seen lots of those but no rear major seal. Get someone to clean the engine under, have it run on the hoist till it starts pouring out, then you may be able to obviously see where the leak is coming from. Should the rear major seal leaking but, you may be looking at around $600 to $700 for repairs transmission has to come off .

Good luck
