I have a stock 2004 mazda six with a V6.I want to put a V8 in it.Are there any engines that I can exchange for it?

i don't think you may be able to but you may be able to increase the hp with a supercharger or a turbo.

Your V8 alternatives are restricted. If you feel like doing it, requires lots of work. Custom fabrication for your engine mounts,trans mounts, place of all parts, axle place, axle have to go with hubs, wiring for the engine ecu and sensors, etc. Only FWD V8's that could help easy installation I can remember are Cadillac Northstars only last to 100k miles and Ford Taurus SHO engines.

That could be a big undertaking. Wiring harness grafting, computer exchange, transmission coupling, mounting.if you are going to that much trouble, just put a good turbo on V six and gut the interior of the V six to manage the abuse, or search for a wrecked Mazdaspeed six and exchange out the drivetrain for that. With the time and money involved although, just sell your six and get a Mazdaspeed 6.
