Hello,
Oil pressure switchs are common not far from the oil filters.

There are two oil pressure switches just above the oil filter housing, one is low pressure switch, the other is the high pressure switch. you may want to check the oil level 1st, yeah, I know that sounds stupid, but you'd be surprised how many times when in the past I checked a customer's car it was low.
I assume that you have already done this, if you may be able to replace both switches, noting which switch came from what position. If you look on the back of the switch it should have a part number on it, although it maybe hard to read. it is important that you put the correct switch in the correct position, otherwise the light and buzzer will come on all the time. Personally, I'd have someone check the oil pressure 1st, as it may be the printed circuit behind the dash cluster causing the concern, as they have been recognized to fail also. If the pressure is low, then you may have sludge build up in the motor, this may be a warranty issue under the expanded VW 8year, 80,000? mile extension for sludge build up in 1.8 turbo motor.
Hope this helps, a car nut.
