I have an 03' WRX and am wanting to do a exchange with an EJ253 that I already have.?
I have to know is there anything besides an ECU from say a 00' Forrester that I have to make this thing run? I'll get a standalone if needed. Also I'll be using the wiring from my EJ20 so that isn't a problem. In case you're wondering the EJ253 is the same as the STi engine without the vairable cam timing. And no I'll not purchase an STi engine. Cost to much.

This could most likely be better asked on a WRX particular forum, like NASIOC...
