have you tried burning it under audio I burned cds as data but won't place in my stock cd player,I burned them under audio and now work good.
I thought it may have been caused by it being 11years old but it works now as do as above.
Oh and it must be an cdr not the dvdr type sounds daft but I tried the dvdr in also.

What year is your TL? I used to have a 96 and it could not play burned cd's at all. The Cd player wasn't encoded to manage mp3's.

cd players also as dvd players may be little beeches when it comes to playing burned discs. they're picky.. I have had some of the costly top of the line equipment that you'd figure could be able to play anything but they wouldnt play burned discs. while my friends may have the cheapest players and they can play the same disc that mine wont. im not sure of the exact technological reason for this it flippin annoys me to no end. call a car stereo place, im sure some one there will have a in depth explaination for you.. haha

its generally the cd that you feel like you must hear at that exact moment too. whaat a buzzz kill.. gl

For the stock system you may want to make sure and only burn discs in either audio format or mp3 format. Most players can not read data, aac, loveless, etc.

format matters you may be trying to play mp3 or data cd's so be sure you check that out, if you are using itunes than that may be the case be sure you go to edit then preferences, then advanced, then burning, then be sure the selection is on audio cd

If its an 04 06tl, it'll not play MP3s. Only store bought CDs or DVD Audio. attempt realplayer or iTunes and attempt converting them to AAC which the TL can play them just good.

Acura added mp3 compatibillity for the 2007s and newer.

maybe the cd is too new and uses a different format, like instead of a cd rw it's a cd r or a cd rom and the car's cd player isn't made for newer cds

IS EIGHTER three THINGS THAT may be WRONG 1st YOU GOTTA TELL ME WHAT YEAR TL TO SEE IF it's matched MOST probably it's.2ND WHAT COLOR ARE THE BURNEDCD'S BECAUSE on occasion there's SOME CDPLAYERS THAT WONT READ COLOR CD'S LIKE THE BLACK,PURPLE,YELLOW CD'S.3RD attempt purchasing A CD CLEANER AND PUTTING THAT IN YOUR PLAYER BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON CD PLAYERS WONT PLAY BURNED CD'S IF there's TOO MUCH DUST IS strange.
