I have to purchase a car?

I asked many questions about cars but I'd like to purchase a good used car and I'd like to know if anybody has these cars and what problems do you have wrong or had to fix.

2000 or less models: Chevy Tahoe, Ford Expedition, Montero restricted, Mazda Tribute, Mazda Millenia, Nissan Extera, Chevy Trailblazer I have heard about engine problems with this car is it true?, and I really want some kind of small SUV because my fiance is to get a Tahoe and we don't need two Big SUVs.

I could look at the Mazda Tribute, which is a Ford Explorer.
My wife drives a 2001 Explorer. It has almost 200K miles on it and I have only replaced a thermostat, hoses and belts. It drives and seems new. The Exterra/Pathfinder is another hard SUV and it is a gas to drive.

You should not purchase an American Car particularly if it can be used just because quality is awful. And they really start to fall separately after some years of being driven.

If you want a small SUV that will last a long time I recomend the Subaru Outback or Forester which you may be able to pick up a decent one used for around $9000 . they are also really nice for winter driving because they have AWD, and get decent gas mileage 26 28 highway MPG which is much better than anyother SUV's . Also they're reliable and will run a long time.

If you need good, cheap SUV's go purchase one at a seized car auction. I did it and it saved me $1,000's
