Well Mercedes did issue parts manuals to its shops for each model and you may contact a Mercedes dealer to see if they are still available. You may also contact Hall Miller at Potomac German Auto in Frederick, Maryland. He runs one of the biggest Mercedes salvage yards in the country and deals in old Mercedes parts. I owned a 1959 Mercedes 219 for about 30 years and had some contact with him. he's quite knowledgable and honest.

You do not have to know the parts numbers. Just give the dealer or vendor or wrecker the chassis number. You do not have the complete number there. It should start with W108.

There is a parts catalog available if you want, and you may want to be able to find it on eBay from time to time. be sure you order the one for your series, which is a W108, not the afterward W116 280S that came out in 1972.

Dealers have a program called EPC, Which has a record of every part fitted to every Mercedes Car, Truck, Bus, Unimog or Van.

Mercedes will continue to produce parts for models for ten years after they're discontinued, but its worth trying a dealer as they may be able to order in from another source.

When you get the chassis number or part number, attempt ADSIT adsit.com?
