Identify this part on VW Golf IV PLEASE??

Hello, I have a VW Golf IV Variant,2001,TDI. Can you help me to figure out what this actualy is. it's around five cm long part. it's sticked on the windscreen from inside ten cm to the right of the central mirror and above seat that's beside the drivers seat. you may be able to check it out on the photos if you follow the link below. It has a kind of an electrical plug inside and has two wires sticking out from it and going into the roof. Thanks

it seems to me as if it's there to receiving or sending info. Most probably a GPS world Positioning System , or some other form of tracking device or a reader. alike to those used on the highways to record your trips so you do not have to stop at the toll.

If you just bought the car, the 1st thing I could do, could be to go to an alarm expert or second prefference 'electrician' and have the electricals checked and the alarm re coded. &lt,== trust me on that one. Or at least get full insurance cover.

Slow down. It was there when you bought the car, so why not ask the dealer what this thing is?
