If I exchange an sr20det engine into my 98 200sx, could the referee make it salvage tittle?
hey I'm trying to put an sr20det engine in my 98 200sx but is the referee make it salvage?
any coments on what I should do to my 1.6L engine with stick shift transmission to make it faster.

No, A Salvage Title is issued on a car damaged to the extent that the cost of repairing the car for safe operation exceeds its just market value, or a car that was declared a Total Loss by an insurer or another state or authority. Some states treat Junk titles the same as Salvage but the most use this title to point to that a car isn't road respectable and can not be titled again in that state. The following ten States also use Salvage titles to recognize stolen vehicles AZ, FL, GA, IL, MN, NJ, NM, NY, OK and OR.

The car will not be make salvage because it has not been in an accident. you're on the right track by putting in the sr20 engine. Do that and leave the 1.6 engine alone.

Whimpy clutch on the 1.6 will not handle extra power. The the turbo charged 2.0 engine will because trans mounts and transmission will be stressed keep extras around, Mounts, and Transmissions
