I'm not sure if the security alarm on my 2002 Honda accord is functioning?
When I use the keyless entry lock, all the door locks go down but the lights do not flash at all, there's no "beep", and the security light near the drivers door beside the lock amount not blink, light up or anything to point to it's working. To test if it has been alarmed, I left the drivers window down, locked the car with the remote like before , then unlocked the door by pulling up the lock, then opened the door. No alarm sounded. When I have the car locked with the keyless entry and use it again to un lock the car, the locks go up, the cabin lights come on and all outside lights flash twice. Which looks like normal disarming. HELP . I have only had the car less than a week and it is my 1st Honda.

There are too many variables to say if or not your alarm is working properly. Does your car have an aftermarket alarm? Some work with the factory remote, so look for a red LED that seems it is not original, it can be mounted below the steering wheel. If you have an aftermaket alarm, who knows how its supposed to work. There are just too many of them out there to say certainly. I personally do not like aftermarket alarms, and if your car came with an alarm from the factory, have the aftermarket one removed. for example of what aftermarket alarms can do, my brother's car had one, and if he unlocked the doors while he drived, it could set the alarm off. If you have only the factory alarm, look in the owner's manual, it'll tell you how the alarm should work. Some may be personalized, others can not.
