Inexpensive Clutch for 01 Alero??? Or better option??

I have a 2001 alero 2.4ltr 4cyl and need a new clutch starting to slip and have been given price quotes for just the clutch not labour of $1000 1200 for the part. that is way to much for just a clutch. anybody can access cheaper clutches or have info about to get aftermarket parts?
