I have had both a Honda and an Acura same company and when I got rid of them, they both had well over a hundred thousand on them and drove like a dream.
No problems on either.

I've got a 1990 Honda Civic in my drive way, origional owner with over 265,000 miles on it, with the same engine. they're dependable cars. Also look into German cars, they are great.

I had an 1988 Honda Civic DX that got totalled with 265,000 miles on it. It runned like a top. No oil leaks, no compression loss. I also had a 1990 Honda Accord EX that we traded on my wife's 1997 4Runner. The Accord had 250,000 miles on it. I drove it hard so it had some oil leaks. Other than that, it was in tip top form.
BTW, my wife's 4Runner now has 210,000 miles on it. I would not trade them for the world. All have/had original engine and transmission.

well if you're talking about 150k then yes the engine quality is that good. What you're going to want to check out although is cylinder compression, you may want to don’t have issues unless the car has been abused. The thin you must worry about is the suspension, a great suspension wears out over that many miles. I now drive a 95 civic ex with 198,00 miles on it and I change the oil, with the suggested 5w 30 and no extra additives, religiously so my car will be running 200,000 more thousand miles afterward. but what you're going to want to check when looking at a car with that many miles is the cv axels and joints, the boots around the upper and lower control arms, and the inner and outer tie rod boots. also the strut and shocks may need replacing. But they aren't costly to replace when needed for the use you'll get out of the car, and when you know what will need replacing you may be able to get the car for cheaper.

doesn't must be a Honda to run a looong time,,, we have two Chevy s10 trucks, the 95 has 300k onthe original engine, the 2001 has 0ver 150k.. neither have ever had any interior engine work of any kind, its all about maintenance people, not Brand names..
Buy AMERICAN.
