NO WAY.
The parts are costly and the interior is too nice for a 17 yr old who most of which tend to be rough on cars. there's too much leather to tear and wood to scratch.
The cheaper variant of the ES Toyota Camry is better for a 17 yr old.

I would not say no to a lexus, but check how much it's to insure before you purchase.

This is a pretty cool car.
I could say if it was already in the family, then yes as it costs nothing to get, its already there.
If you're wanting to purchase this car, then no, get him a small pick up.
You may also use it for hauling stuff you need, say from the nursery.

It is an excellent, dependable and safe car for anybody. A 17 year old could be lucky to have a car like that. Value in the low 20k's

well lexus' are excellent cars, safe, and run smoothly, rarely do they need any big repairs unless of course you get into an accident. so you wouldnt be spending all that much on parts at all, since you could have to be purchasing it
my mom, dad have lexus' and im going to get one for my 17th
and if you may be able to pay for it than definietly get it great cars.

A Toyota Camry / Avalon with leather seats, some toys and bling makes a good Lexus.
I think is an ugly car that was intended to copy the Mercedes Benz looks. Or a bad Rap Remix from a nice song.
