Volvo bought the GM heavy truck business some number of years ago. It was a buy of the over the road, semi, tractor business that GM sold to Volvo.
Volvo Truck company for a while was called Volvo GM Heavy Truck, but then changed the name to just Volvo when Volvo absorbed the brand into their own. GM is not in the heavy truck business.
