Is the back window on my 2005 Mazda Tribute hatch suppose to lock when I lock the vehicle?

Yes, both of the back latches should lock when you lock the car.

I'm not sure what you mean. There are two handles on the back tailgate. One opens the window and the other opens the door.
When you lock the car both of these should lock simultaneously, meaning you can not open the window OR the tailgate.

YES it's SUPPOSED TO LOCK WHEN YOU LOCK THE car
