Great car No image but hard, dependable with great handling. Just have a look/ compare with the Forester before you purchase...

they are a good car with decent space but the thing they lack is any decent grunt. sorta like a zero 100 in 4.3 minutes kinda thing.

The Outback can do just about anything, take a full load of gear and up a rugged mountian road, out perform overweight suv's, comfortably seat five for long hauls, all while to get 27 miles per gallon. Outbacks are dependable also.

I am really growing to love my '06 Outback. It replaced a '99 Honda Accord that I had for seven years. My only regret is that I convinced myself that I'd be good without the six cylinder engine. I wish I waited. I miss the low end power. The turbo is pretty fast, but it is not fast off the line, like when you're trying to pull out in traffic. I have had my car for only three months and 2,000 miles so far, so there are others more qualified to answer, I'm sure.

Even although I know I could take a big hit, I am going to look into trading for a six already.

I'm sure the Outback is a good hard car. We bought a 2002 Forrester. It sits a little higher than the Outback but has the same drive train. Good power, good mileage, fun to drive and it goes where ever I want it to.
