|
There are wires to the carb. and I just wann aknow if you were to hook a comp system up to it if it could tell you if there was a flawed something for istance fuel mixture solenoid. that is what the shop told me. that I have a bad fuel mixture solenoid. I have never heard of it.

it's called an m/c solenoid. As in, mixture control. The computer usually only stores codes for inputs that are out of range. But if the solenoid is open or shorted, it may store a code for that also. Personally, I never cared much for that type carb. I generally installed a vacuum advance type distributor and a non electronic carb, taking the computer totally out of the picture. They really really wake up at that point, the difference in performance is great. As long as your not in an emissions inspection county, those two things and a set of headers and duals will make it scream.
