Is tiptronic faster than automatic?

will my mazda three go faster changing it in the sport shift mode alike to tiptronic or leaving it automatic? can the sport shift mode be as fast as a manuel?

tiptronic is faster then auto,but when it comes to comparing it with stick, it depends on wha kind of car it's

No. But on a porsche 911 turbo it is faster

You could go faster using the "Sport Shift" feature off the line only because you control the shift points. Top end nothing could change. The manual trans will still most likely go a bit faster, cost you less, and save you on fuel.

A Triptronic is an auto, using the sport shift mode makes no difference. The reason an auto is slower than a manual is due to power loss that occurs in the torque converter. A Triptronic will let you to control when the car down shifts and let you to hold the right gear in a corner. So it'll turn a better time at the track, but in a straight line it makes no difference.
