Great car for the money and its toyota so it'll be long lasting. I have a liftback one and have not had no problems with it and they don’t have recalls. Which in the US they most likely wont because they been out in japan and europe for many years and no problems over there.

Sure is good and long lasting with correct maintence. But I can not get over the looks. There must have been a cartoon artist who intended the body work. that's a Elmer Fudd car look at Nissan Versa More power bigger inside about the same price point.

Pretty much any Toyota is a good car that's going to last these days.Toyota's are recognized for lasting a long time. Honda also. The car will treat you good as long as you treat it good is a common rule. Regular maintenance and a clean car history is what you want to look for.

For most of my life I have been a chevy man. Tried Fords and Chryslers they did not do anything for me. My wife and I bought a nes Chevy each and both had serious problems, my truck blew the engine at 78,000 miles and my wifes cavalier had tranny problems . We bought a new 03 Rav4 and so far the only problem we have had is a window motor went out. I am not sorry to say I'll only purchase Toyota's and Honda"s from now on. I'm also a state licensed mechanic and the only thing it looks we do to Toyota's and Honda"s are oil changes.
I could assume that the Yaris is as good as any other Toyota, and do to the long distances I drive for work I'm concidering the Yaris myself.
