what are the outside differences of a 98 integra type r in comparison to a same year rs integra? what are the interior differences?

Type R has a facotry spoiler lip kit installed for better downforce.
Of course the more powerful hand built engine. The wheel hubs are a five lug variant instead of four lugs, this is for tuners to change the wheels and have a wider range to decide from, it is also better to have the five lugs because you may be able to put more power without destroying wheels because of torque turn.

Also, carbon fiber interior accents lighter, and aesthetically pleasing, of course no luxuries like A/C, power locks, windows, and so on. The RS had all the luxuries minus the carbon fiber and the suede it was all cloth or leather .
The Integra was Honda's variant of a completely customizable car.
You can make a LS,RS, or GS a Type R just by modifying some parts and body work. It was deemed one of Honda's greatest cars of all time besides the Civic and the NSX.

I own a 1999 Integra GS, she's a bit older but I can still spank WRXs, EVOs, some Porches, Mustangs, and some other great cars. it is a common hot rod, and a really fast one with the right amount of cash, parts, and mechanics .

First off the Type R has five lug as opposed to 4. It has more violent looking front air dam, side skirts, and rear wing with the type r badging all along the car. All I can think of for interior differences is the shift nob and maybe some type r badges someplace.

RS is basic model. It has no power locks, ABS, rear spoiler unless dealer added .

Of course the motor exchange and suspension difference. The interiors in the Type R' s are suede, with orange lit instrumentation, 'carbon fiber' finished accents on the gages bezel, vents, weather control, and console.

On the outside there's a different front valence and rear spoiler. The sides are the same, but are body colored paired. Also the side moldings are shaved off and smooth.

In 98, the type R only came in white. It also had the type R wing, front spoiler and painted side skirts. Suspension is firmer, motor is tuned +15hp over GSR .
Type R also comes with white five lug rims as opposed to four lug and red emblems and type R stickers on the rear quarter panels.

The interior is different. Type R shift know and suede interior with red stitching. as well, on the center armrest there's a badge that tells you what number the type R is on the production as there were a restricted amount made.
