can you turn factory jeep rims and run them like this? I know this isn't the norm but am thinking of running these like this for a little wile till I can get some wider rims and tires.

I tried this before Dustin G said anything about it. Dustin G thanks for the tell I has been worried about rim failure so I asked but mounted just to see if it could move. As I learned that the rims isn't deep enough and it rubs the calipers. So I quickly took the off. Thanks, I just left the question up for a little to see if anybody deserved the points. you got them.

I am not 100% sure what you're asking here. I think you're asking if you may be able to unbolt your factory rims, and turn them around so that the outside face of the rim is on the inside of the car facing the hub. Short answer, no. Here is why. The only rims that you could be able to try to screw up like this are the steel ones. You simply could not be able to attempt it with the cast aluminium ones. Now if you look carefully at your steel wheels you'll see there are some things that could get in the way when trying to seat the rim flush to the hub when reversed. 1st in the hub opening in the center of the rim you'll see there's a lip that usually sticks out, when reversed this will keep your rim from going all the way back to the mounting surface. Also you'll see some raised regions inbetween the stud openings. they are to reinforce the area where the stud comes through the rim, but also will keep the rim from mounting flush. Now here is the most important one. Look at the stud hole itself. you'll see that it's beveled where the lug nuts come in contact with the rim. This is to center your rim. Running the rim rearward could mean that your lug nuts can't center your rim onto the hub, and more than probably they'll wear out the holes in your rim untill a failure occurs. If you run the rim in reverse you'll have serious issues with vibration, to the point where it'll be unsafe to operate on the highway. based on where you're in the country you may be able to typically find an old Jeeper that's to get prepared to upgrade, that wants to sell his old tires and rims. Check your local thrift paper, and see what you may be able to find. Or go scour through a junkyard to see if you may be able to find a agreeing set of rims that are a little wider that you like.

When you purchase a car, you will get the pre installed rims. stock You may purchase aftermarket rims like chrome, and stuff.
