Postby XXX » Wed Sep 12, 2007 9:10 pm

I already know that im doing a k20 exchange in my 93 civic hatch.Just wondering how hard it's to get a harness for that motor and how hard it's to find mounts for it.I can not seem to find any mounts.I have already called Hasport..Can anybody help out?

Thank you

I do not know why Hasport said they did not have any mounts for it, because they do. They have the mounts for the fourth gen Civics.

For a wiring harness or mounts, check out this site:

if hasport does not have it then it may be hard to find. I have seen it done before. But if you must custom make the mounts then it'll be costly.

K20 is WAY overpriced for what you get. The total exchange in your year car is going to run around $9,000 $11,000. People may say that is crazy, but the motor itself is close to $4,500, then the mounts, fuel lines have to be made, fuel pump, aftermarket intake, radiator, shift linkages, ECU, wiring harness PLUS modification going from OBD2 to OBD1 car, hubs, Also this isn't a exchange to do in your garage unless you REALLY know what you're doing. The electrical alone is a nightmare unless you have experience with it. Why not drop a completely built and turboed B18C in and have a 400 HP street monster? OH and it could be cheaper too.
