I'd most likely go for the B20B because there's no point in having an engine that is supposed to have VTEC that does not, besides a K20 without VTEC is as strong as a B20B. As you may want to know a turbo can not work with VTEC so theres no point in wasting more money for a K20 that you wont be able to use VTEC with. In my eyes K20A = Good for All Motor & B20B = Good for Turbo. I'm not sure how much WHP you could have, and I do not know the 1/4 mi. times but a B20 could be better to turbo.

ThEuSeD it is about having your computer tuned, either you have one that activates VTEC or you have one that controls the increase, I have never seen a computer that can do both. I have built turboed engines, particularly Honda's, and all motor engines, usually K20's, H22's, and B18's. I know what works and I have experience doing what I do.

B20B. Because K20A is I VTEC while B20B is VTEC, no VVT involved. caused by B20B cylinder head being less complex, tuning is easier, like dialing of the cam. You can not dial a VVT cam.

The B20 air/fuel percentage is more easier to tune because there's no delay or advanced opening/closing of the valves, the only change is in the valve lift when the VTEC solenoid cut in.

Also becos of the B20 engine parts are generally available just in case you blow up your pistons caused by over boosting. K20 may also be used for boosting but I recommend you to change to low compression pistons. For ECU, Hondata K Pro is the best choice for K 20 despite NA or forced induction.

the man who said you can not use VTEC with increase is clearly building the wrong engines.. there is lots of cars that have VTEC and increase and yes they both work. I could go with the K20 but i'd say the B20 could be less money..

Wow. The man who said that you can not increase with vtec, does not have a clue. And needs to start learning more instead of simply reading things on the internet and taking them as fact. It does make it a LITTLE harder to tune an engine that has vtec. But if you can not tune an engine simply because it has vtec regardless what form of vtec, you should not be tuning it yourself anyways. Plus the fact that the K20A is a high compressions engine, you may want to have it tuned by a professional nevertheless since there's a higher likelihood of detonation.

The B20B is NOT vtec, it's a non vtec engine. All the B20B is, is a bored out B18B Integra LS, RS, GS engine. It has the same head casting, same crankshaft, and same rods same stroke as the B18B.

Now to answer the original question. The K20A exchange will be far costly than the B20B exchange. But, in stock form, the K20A will also make far more power with a turbo kit. As for ΒΌ times & whp, there are way too many variables. Stuff like the turbo you are using, how many psi you are boosting, pressure drop of the intercooler if you are using one, transmission you are using, what suspension you are using to be able to hook up, tires, etc, etc. I'll say that K20A swapped Integras & Civics run low 13's to mid 12's, with the exchange alone. And they can see 200+whp with basic screw ons & an intake manifold.
