Lexus gs 300 1999 airbag problem?

its airbag light if flashing, why could it be?

You have to check this at the dealers. it's obviously written in the car's manual that if the airbag light or sign flashes then there may be a problem with one or all of the airbags which may be unsafe. Take it to the dealer & they'll check the airbags and the flashing light will disappear. It happened to me with my last Honda, and that is what I did. My Lexus is model 2002, I still didn't face this problem but I know that is what you definately should do.

Either the airbag is not working, you are sitting wrong in the seat, or you have a broken sensor. The light will turn on when one of the airbags is not working. If you are not sitting facing straight in your seat, the sensor will detect that you're in an odd position and turn off the airbags.

Ask your friend that have experince with air bag problem and ask what they did with it. I have 2001 lexus gs 430 and it did happen to me and my friend told me to go to dealership free of charge.
