Does anybody know how much it roughly will cost to fix that problem?? is this a Big problem with the car if I continue driving with this problem?? I really need help, im just a driver that doesn',t know anything about car.. if you may help me figure this out,im really appreciated thanks.

valve timing. nothing big and you may be able to still drive it. but I could get it fixed. dealer is going to charge you +300 to fix but a local shop can do it for 150225. if you have to get car inspected beofre to get this fixed unplug the battery for a couple minutes then drive a couple miles and get the the inspection done before light comes back on.

what is the vowel timing? did they give you something in writing. firstable I'm presuming that they're refering to variable valve timing. and if this is the case, it depends on what part of this part failed, you have the actuator, sensor and some gears the common is the sensor wich will run you some where about 100.00 for the parts. also have to know what year is the IS300 and if you know the code #
