I just got a lexus sc300 and both the front and back bumpers have paint chips the size of baseballs on the drivers sides does anybody know how much that could cost to get repainted?

I'm a body and paint man you have a lexus clearly you aren't going to use spray paint. most likely three four hrs of body work on each bumper and 1.5 two hours paint plus materials if the labor is 43 dollars an hour and typically paint and material is about 24 dollars an hour your looking at $400 $500 dollars a bumper

Yes, about $3000,00. they will have to take off, refinish and paint both bumper covers in their entirety and reinstall. that's if you go to a dealership or Service King high end body shops . If you look around, you may be able to find a more favourable deal, but be sure who ever does it adds the proper costly flex additive that needs to be added into the paint mix. This flex additive changes the properties of the paint to where it is not so brittle and makes it more adaptable upon drying. The bumper covers are made of plastic and flex as the car moves. If you do not put in the additive, you will soon see little spider web type cracks during your new paint inside the 1st some number of months.

Good luck on to get a great deal on a quality paint job.
