I am dealing with the fuel pump relay, it is not switching over to kick the fuel pump on.

No such part on a GM car that's called an auto shutdown relay. There are tons of relays on these cars. Which circuit are you working on?

If the relay isn't located under the hood in the electrical distribution box, then it should be under the dash on the drivers side beside the fuse panel.
