most likely because Chevrolet never put a diesel engine in the Cavalier.

Libraries have car manuals, I did not wanna pay 20 pounds for a manual for a Peugeot 206 so I went there and saw it and looked up my question.they had others.

Have you been to your local library they have a pretty broad range of work shop manuals there and if you belong to the library you take the books out for about three weeks.

A diesel engine in a 1990 cavalier.If I were you id call rippleys believe it or not.They never put a diesel engine in any cavaliers PERIOD.

Angela, I'd attempt amazon.com . as well, you are holders manual may have an order form in the back for service manuels.
