Looking for recomendations for a diesel exchange into a 79 C

Looking for recomendations for a diesel exchange into a 79 CJ7?
I want to do a drive tran exchange from my old straigt six cyl gas to a most likely four cyl diesel. anybody have any ideas as to what engine I should look into and what trans will fit with it and in my jeep?
