7995$ 2005 Mazda 3s Sedan 84k Miles

or

6995$ 2003 VW GTI 1.8T 100k miles

BOTH MANUAL five SPEED, I HAVE DRIVEN BOTH. THE GTI IS LEATHER, THE MAZDA isn't. THIS IS MY 1st CAR AND I REALLY LOVE THE WAY THE GTI DRIVES.

after school today im going to the dealership, and I just need some last minute info

if I get the gti ill have another 1k to use up on anything. I thinked about upgrading the speakers, or to get cold air intake? any ideas.maybe upgrade rims? give me some brand names

As much as I loved my VW you won't have the extra $1000 to use up on upgrading anything. Most VW',s are quirky. you may want to also think about the fact that the GTI has a turbo engine which will nearly certainly require premium gasoline 91 or greater octane . Not using premium could because engine knock.

The Volkswagen GTi is going to be the more fun choice.

The Mazda3S is going to be the more dependable choice.

I see 3s and 6i',s and Rangers, and Fusions.etc. all types of cars with the MZR 2.3 with well over 100,000 miles a pretty bit.

Most of the 1.8t VWs I see with 100,000+ miles have some valvetrain rattle. Virtually all of them have had ignition coil problems.

In all fairness, the VWs seem to run okay with all that rattle, but it',s not reassuring.
