nearly all cars that have improper wheel balance begin to have steering shimmy shaking around 60mph. As a 323, they're small cars and like Miatas, imbalanced wheels make big issues as far as drivability.
If it somethed more serious like a wheel bearing or cv/axle joint, you'd either see the problem or definately hear/feel it.
Wheel bearings increase audible sounds as you corner load or corner and the weight shifts to that bearing. CV joints start to make sound after most the bearing grease was shot out caused by a torn boot or some other reason. you may be able to check your cv boots by feeling for grease around the inside of your wheels or around the transmission area.
Best advice, go get a wheel balance for $20 at a dependable shop you know, and test drive gradually going past 60mph or whenever you felt this shaking. It should go away and I am 90% sure it is a wheel balance.

Could be a tranny mount that is bad. A tire out of balance. Have it checked over by someone you trust.

Could be a tire or or just plain out of balance or tread separation, the tire may have a bubble forming under the tread cap that is tread separation and is UN safe to drive, and or well may be something wrong with the front suspension, in either case its best to either tow the car if in any doubt it's never a doubt to tow if UN sure to the dealer, or a repeatable fix shop, generally good to play IT safe, good luck

Sounds like a tranny problem.Could be a situation with the high gear. Also may be catalytic converter clog,or a problem with your fuel injectors. Just a suspicion.
