Mazda distributor burnout? |
|
a friend of mine has a 93 mazda mx six with a 2.0 L motor I believe and it keeps burning out distributors inside 200 miles. any ideas as to the because of this could be largely appreciated

Some Mazdas were prone to distributor failures. If I remember properly it was Mitsubishi distributors. Because of this fault there were some places that did rebuilds on them and some of this rebuilds were of bad quality. Did your friend replace it with a new one or a rebuilt one?
Also be sure that the plugwires and plugs are in a good condition.

why don't you attempt hooking your blender up to it, I hear that never burns out.

It could either be the throttle body or the computer. If either need replacing you may want to be sure it is covered by warranty.
