MTX and INFINITIY? Which is better? |
|
Which sub hookup could be better:
One MTX Thunder 15" in just a regular enclousre, or four Infinity Kappa Perfect 10"s in a custom build compression box?
Theyre both running at four ohms, and the MTX is hooked up to a MTX Thunder Elite TE40001D 1250 watts rms and the Infinity are all running through one channel into a Zapco 1000 watt.
If you need more details let me know, but im trying to choose what kinda hookup to purchase.

infinity by far. four 10s vs one 15. based on what you listen to, the 15 may not be able to keep up with the bass in the song. Like it may be good for some rap and r&b, but if you put in some rock, that thing is gonna get lost in some double bass drum solo. But the 10s are def gonna hit hard and right on, and since there are four, they also gonna get deafening and give you lots of bang.
But the four 10s have to cost lots more, don't they??

I think you do not quite need four Kappa Perfects but if you do your going to be pimpin' so deafening. they're quite costly but if you have the money purchase them. I think two could work just good. The MTX is a great subwoofer. that is a lot of power. Also just two of those could be good enough. I say do not purchase the extra two and purchase the two Kappa's.
