Muddy roads or grassy fields are okay but not serious off roading. The Murano share a chassis with the maxima.

I think your Murano is more of a "soft roader" than an "off roader." Being a car established SUV, the Infinity G35 and the Nissan 350Z are from the same family group I could tell not going too rough on the Murano.

I would not propose it.I could get the Nissan X Terra or the Nissan X Trail the X Trail has seemingly not still been released in the US, if that's where you're from being released in 2008 from what I hear . I LOVE my X Trail I'm from Canada so I could most definately recommend checking it out.

You will most probably damage the Murano, its not intended for off roading. If you look under the front you may be able to see the radiator cooling fins on the bottom protected by a thin metal shield.

Slippery conditions, snow travel OK
Off Roading your looking for trouble.

I owned a Murano and loved it, I traded it for a 2004 great Cherokee love it also.

Do not off road this car, this car is meant for the road only due to CVT transmission it has. You severly damage or burn out the tranny, get the Xterra or Pathfinder instead. keep in mind the Murano is the luxury suv for Nissan, intended in the same fashion as Infiniti's FX35 and FX45.
