My 2001 V8 Durango was going through oil like crazy for the last two weeks four quarts . It',s overdue for an oil change, but otherwise was driving normal. Yesterday it loped while I tryed to start it and was erratic while revving, it also had a slight sulfur smell. I put in a fuel cleaner and a full tank of gas and it started running good again. About fourty miles afterward it started lopping while driving and stalled. It started, loped and stalled some number of times more while I tried to get the last five miles home. I didn',t make it. It turns over but won',t start. But it doesn',t lope while trying.

If you',re burning oil.you',re really burning oil. Meaning an oil change isn',t going to fix it unless it',s a leak. usually speaking if you dont have observable leaks from the block, pan, plug, or filter that should cover most bases then it',s oil blow by. Meaning, oil is to get into your combustion chamber s because the seal on your oil ring s is busted and needs to be replaced.
