My kenwood car dvd player KVT 719DVD does not work?

The monitor messages "disconnected cable found confirm a connection line" but everything is connected, is the cable or receiver bad, anybody had this issue?

be sure the cable is connected to the 'monitor' plug on the brain, and not the brown 'navigation' plug.
For some reason, they made the plugs the same.
