driving one day in my 2004 liberty renegade six cyl, I noticed that I had zero miles till service, then it said "perform service". two days afterward I got an oil change at an STS. I could figure that the sensor could stop saying "perform service" and the Miles could regenerate back to 3,000 till next service BUT it still says "perform service" when I start the car and it still says " zero miles till service" is there a sensor glitch? am I supposed to serviced my truck at a jeep dealership so they can change the sensors? I don't know what is wrong.

Nothing is wrong with any sensors and you do not need a computer reader to so it. If you have the overhead digital readout console then this is something that the buyer changes themselves. you may be able to make the service interval any mileage you want. If you have your holders manual just look in there to see how to do it. I could do it in ten seconds if the car was in front of me but it is kind of hard to describe to someone how to do it because some of the buttons were different in some model years.

Your computer needs reset. Its possible to do it yourself with a hand held computer code reader. heres a list of many to chose from. jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Browse/tf Browse/s 10101/in_dim_search 1/N 111+10201+600003519/c 10101jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Browse/tf Browse/s 10101/in_dim_search 1/N 111+10201+600003519/c 10101">jcwhitney.com/autoparts/brows. Plus I heard you could take off a battery cable for awhile wich will reset it also. But you'll have to reset your clock in the car. Hows that for a good tip?

If it is set up like the last jeeps all you do is press the choose button till it comes to zero miles till service, the press and hold the reset button till it resets to 3000 or whatever milage you have it set for. Hope that assists..
