My parents have a 300 D Mercedes 1980.Im wondering how much it cost to restore.?
When Im older and established I plan to purchase the Benz.How much will it cost to do the following.

Rust elimination lower side body panels
Repaint
Sun roof
Interior restoration, seats,roof,Dash,wood,weather stripping.
New Euro headlights

The car is a bit sluggish how to increase performance?How much?

I also want to make the car quieter with some hush mats&gt,How much?

Not sure but I have a 74 240D but you may be able to look on the internet and get catologs for the car or you may be able to order parts online..hope that assists you get a better idea.

I'll bet you may be able to purchase a 1985 or newer MB 300Turbo Diesel for lots less money than restoring your parent's car though I am sure there's sentimental value attached to that car.

Rust elimination is hard to say rough about 3k
repaint 1,500 to 5,000 how good do you want it?
Interior about 6k if the dash s blue I do not think MB sells it anymore.
Headlight???????
Not much you may be able to do on power for that car. How do you make this car quit? Turn it off. Hush Hush could add heat and not stop much.
