Not a smart idea. You can not squeeze another 100hp out of the engine without broad changes to the internals.

You can get over 200 at the wheels without much work on this car. Get yourself a good intake, chip, exhaust, OBD2 midpipe, under drive pulleys and you'll see 200hp.

You could do M3 cams and a 3.5 MAF and make a more.

Remember, this car needs all it is maintenance 1st. Replace your bushings, cooling system, and anything else you may need before upgrading. Also the car is much lighter than the M3 and with a good suspension set up can drive circles around one. Honestly, I miss my 325 it felt so placed going into turn one at PIR.

Don't annoy with nitrous, you will just end up blowing your engine to bits. A stock BMW engine can not take another 100 hp. And your numbers wont be remarkable, its not a powerful engine. Instead, make it handle and do some autocrossing.

it is possible to do nitrous on that engine, just not a 100 shot, if I were you id do a 50 shot of DRY nitrous. dry is safer for stock engines
with the 50 shot you could have around 200 210HP at the wheels

There is a good reason for that, it is not a smart idea. It would not be a smart idea with an M3. Forget about the gas and just build out to the M configuration as best you may be able to with he stock engine and be pleased with it. it is too good of a car to ruin with a bogus tuning.

Most NOS kits are standardized. But seriously, do not do it. On a car that old with probably a stock engine, you are just going to blow it up. And you must get it re filled all the time. If you really want one, I think bavauto.com has them...but I really would not recommend purchasing NOS for a BMW AT ALL.

no, No, NO.. you may be able to put NOS on that car. But if you do, I'll personally follow you around and A make fun of you. B laugh when your motor goes . C make more fun of you. Some problems you may run into.blowing the motor when you hit the redline after that one missed shift and shooting straight NOS in the chamber and KAPOW. No more M50 motor under the hood. Well it'll be under there, but in a million pieces. The HP just is not worth it. if you do not blow up the motor, the residual damage from running NOS on a Bimmer could considerably cut down the life of the motor. Its runs on sauerkraut not rice. If you want NOS purchase a Civic.

Wow, few NO2 fans here.

FIrst off, you may be able to put the bottle on any interior Combustion engine, a Bavarian. did not the germans pioneer this in WW2 on their planes? The key is tuning. do not go for big shots right off the bat, start small and work your way up keeping the air/fuel percentage inline. This will take a wideband and a dyno, to do it properly.

I'm presuming this is a straight six 323's were a four banger, 325+ were 6's? . 75hp could be my theoretical max on a stock bottom end, but that is without knowing much about the bottom end internals.it may handle more. The 4.3 V6 in my truck can handle I know many who've done this 125 hp shot with only ignition upgrades and average track only use.

Start with 50hp shot in a WET kit I like NX .Dry kits are asking for trouble. Dry kits rely on the ECM to add the nessecary extra fuel.I do not trust any stock ECM to react fast enough. Leaning out with a dry set up causes most of the blown engines you see on NO2. Dry set ups are cheaper, and because of this lots of morons purchase them and get stupid.

A properly tuned wet setup is just as dependable as a properly tuned turbo or supercharger. Any power adder badly tuned will destroy a motor.
