Is there white smoke coming out of the exhaust? If there's lots of white smoke, it sounds like the head gasket is blown or worse still the head is cracked.

If there's no smoke it's possible that the radiator is plugged and have to be "rodded" out.

sounds like you may have a cracked block. take it to a mechanic and have it checked out.

The radiator may be plugged up.. take it out and pour draino and water in it, let it sit for a couple hours, then spray it out with a garden hose.. also check your fan.. is it a clutch fan? If it's the clutch may be worn out.

If the timing is retarded it can because it to run hot. Most probably you have junk in your engine, rust, etc that's blocking the passages. Their are plugs on the side of the engine that may be removed to drain the water out of the engine block. Not freeze plugs, but pipe fitting plugs with threads. If you pull those out and no water comes out then you may have to drill through the junk to drain the water. you may be able to purchase a cleaner at the parts store, you put it in the engine, run it for ten minutes and drain the junk out of the block. You may have to do that.
