Sounds like a HEMI motor to me. Get A serial number off the block. Most probably a 440. But I may be wrong

well if there's eight plugs in it then its a v8 and if the plugs go in the center of the cover kinda like a honda car does then its more than probably a hemi..

it is a hemi
they made them from 331 to 392 cubic inches
made back in the fifties most probably one of them
unless it was from the late sixties which could be the 426

dodge never made a 440 hemi the biggest was the 426

I agree, that it may be and most likely is a Hemi. What car and year did it come from? Those may be priceless..
Good Luck

probably a 440 hemi. If your good with engines, I could certainly clean it up.you can get some good $$ for it.

Its an old Hemi. Some are priceless to racers. It most likely has some core value at the least.

Plugs through the valve covers is a hemi head motor.they had some different sizes over the years and certainly not a 440 never was built as a hemi. attempt to find a casting number on the block or a stamped number on the block to recognize it..year of the car may help recognize it also.
